A festival needs a layout, not just a count
Tell us peak attendance, opening hours, event days and whether alcohol or food will be served. Mark entrances, stages, food areas and each proposed restroom cluster. A total number of toilets on an order is not enough if the facilities are hard to find or queues block circulation.
Coordinate with Berkeley’s permit process
The City’s special-event process addresses restroom provision, washing, accessibility and the timing of temporary equipment. Start with the Berkeley permit notes and confirm your site-specific conditions with the reviewer. Show toilet and sink positions on the site plan and coordinate the approved delivery and removal windows.
If food vendors have separate sanitation requirements, include those needs in the discussion. Guest wash stations should not be assumed to satisfy every food-handling requirement.
Plan service access during operating hours
For a long or multi-day festival, ask about pumping, replenishment and an agreed response route for extra service. Decide when a vehicle can safely reach the equipment without entering an active crowd. Keep a responsible organizer available throughout the event.
Divide responsibilities before booking
Write down who supplies power or water for trailers, who maintains guest routes and who requests an extra visit. Confirm whether attendants are available and separately priced. Share teardown plans so equipment does not become trapped by fencing or waste containers.
Our private-event estimate is a conversation aid. Festival occupancy patterns and permit requirements need a separate review.
